United Heritage Hosts School Supply Drive to Help Local Children in Need
United Heritage Credit Union (UHCU) recently donated a variety of school supplies, including backpacks, binders, markers, and folders, to two charitable organizations in Central and East Texas: SAFE and PATH. The donation of 2,500 items marked the success of UHCU's School Supply Drive. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, local students will be better prepared to receive their education and have a successful school year.
In August, as students were preparing to go back to school, UHCU spent Quarter 2 focused on educational initiatives and helping students get the tools they need to succeed. We were amazed at how supportive our community was in making the School Supply Drive a success. Employees and members of United Heritage donated thousands of school supplies, which were collected at the credit union's branches and corporate office over a few weeks.
The donated supplies were then given to SAFE (Austin, Texas) and PATH (Tyler, Texas). Both organizations are previous donation partners of the United Heritage Charity Foundation and will be providing the supplies to families and children in need.
